About the Role

Brightstone Education Partners is supporting a thriving and forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke to recruit a highly organised and dedicated Examinations Officer.

This is a key role within the school, responsible for overseeing the smooth and compliant delivery of all internal and external examinations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring examinations are managed efficiently while supporting both staff and students throughout the process.

This position would suit someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy school environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration and organisation of all internal and external examinations.

  • Manage exam entries, timetables, seating plans, and results processes.

  • Ensure full compliance with JCQ regulations and examination board requirements.

  • Coordinate exam invigilators, including recruitment, training, and deployment.

  • Liaise with staff, students, parents, and examination boards to ensure exams run smoothly.

  • Support access arrangements for students with additional needs alongside the SEND team.

  • Maintain secure systems for exam papers, materials, and examination data.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure during busy exam periods.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience within a school or examinations environment is desirable but not essential.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people in education.
